Lucas Skjaret | Artistic Director
Lucas is a Twin Cities based director, costume designer, and teaching artist. The co-founder and artistic director of Market Garden Theatre, he has directed every major production since its inception, including the regional premiere of Martín Zimmerman’s On The Exhale with Jane Froiland as part of the 2017 Minnesota Fringe Festival. Other directing credits with MGT include the world premiere of Keith Hovis’ Public Exposure, Three Days of Rain by Richard Greenberg and the reading of Gustav Tegby’s Ghosts and Zombies as part of The Phoenix Theatre’s Flight of Frights Festival. As a freelance director, he has directed consistently with Little Life Boat’s T.E.A.S.E Festival and the One Minute Play Festival. He has also directed with Boxed Wine Theatre and many short play festivals. Lucas has assisted directed with companies like Park Square Theatre, History Theatre, Artistry, The Children’s Theatre Company, Jefferson Theatre Company, and on Walking Shadow Theatre’s Ivey Award Winning production of Gabriel. Lucas received his double BA in Theatre Arts and Scandinavian Studies from the University of North Dakota and studied abroad in Norway, twice, as well as did research at the Ibsen Centre. During his senior year, Lucas was a director for the 10 Minute New Play Festival with KC/ACTF at The University of Lincoln - Nebraska. He is a member of the Literary Managers & Dramaturgs of North America and an associate of The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.

Brittany Ottum | Producer
Brittany is a Twin Cities based lover of the arts and joined Market Garden Theatre in 2016. She caught the theatre admin bug in 2012 when she was a Company Management Intern with New York Stage and Film. For the 2012 summer Powerhouse season with NYSAF she assisted in the coordination of living and travel accommodations for the actor and artistic staff and the planning and execution of company events. Other theatre credits include Co-President of University of Minnesota, Morris Meiningens Student Theatre Group, Producer of Meiningens' Medea, Stage Manager for The Barn Theatre’s The Rabbit Hole, Scenic Designer for Meiningens' Recent Tragic Events, and Assistant Scenic Designer for the University of Minnesota, Morris Theatre Department’s Anything Goes. Brittany has degrees in Theatre Arts and English from the University of Minnesota, Morris and a degree in Graphic Design from the College of Design at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Madeline Kvale | Literary Manager, Company Administrator
Madeline is a wandering arts administrator and Dramaturg. Currently found in Duluth, Minnesota, she joined the team of Market Garden Theatre remotely in 2018. She has created theatre in places as far-flung as the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company in Vermont, to Burning Coal Theatre Company in North Carolina, to the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis; all experiences a whirl-wind of artistic excellence that continue to inspire. As a theatre maker devoted to community engagement and reflection, she is drawn to stories that speak to our communities today. Most recently, she stage managed 7th House Theatre's production of Rhinoceros, and made her film PA debut in Lauren Keating’s POWER OUT. Madeline has degrees in Theatre Arts, Sociology, and German from the University of Minnesota, Morris.
